Classmates to Soul-mates
Our story, Destined to be together Our first meeting took place on November 29, 2010. We happened to sit right next to each other on our first day of in-processing into the Inter-service Physician Assistant Program (IPAP).
It was to be the beginning of my Army career and another chapter in Matt’s career. My first impression of him was not necessarily a good one. He seemed stern and nearly angry, as if he did not want to be there. But as time passed, I found that not to be the case. Initially, a friendship blossomed, as we would meet up almost every day to study together at various bookstores and restaurants.

Our Story
We met in our physical science class in 7th grade. Me a nerdy kid with huge glasses. Her, the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. We only spoke a few times when we were in the same science project groups.
I was way to nervous to talk to girls in general much less her. In high school we reacquainted through mutual friends and became closer friends.
After graduation, I joined the Coast Guard. We never lost touch, I even got to hold her son from her first marriage when he was only a couple weeks old.

Our Story "The Battle of the Uhhh..."
Shawn and I met in August 2009, while at Air Force Recruiting School in San Antonio, Texas. While each student was introducing themselves to the class we noticed that we were both from Virginia, but neither of us were familiar with each other’s city.
I had never heard of Alexandria and Shawn thought Chesapeake was in Maryland because he’d only heard of the Chesapeake Bay! We’d already found something in common but I had no idea how much more was to come.
I had only come to know Shawn as SSgt Crowley at the time, but immediately thought he was a cutie!

Nicole Fagundo & William Rockwell
William and I met in the summer of 2010 at a BBQ. At the time he had just returned from his third deployment and I had just gotten to Colorado to start a 3 month long internship at Colorado College the final summer before I graduated from my Masters program.
William and I from the start had a bond. We spent a summer getting to know one another and laughing.
At the end of the summer I went back to New Jersey to complete my degree and a few weeks later he went to Army Ranger School to train.
Kelsey Connor & Peter Testa
Kelsey Connor & Peter Testa
The love Peter and I share for each other is really defined by friendship on fire. We are each other’s best friends and now fiancé and fiancée.
I am such a lucky girl to have such an amazing soldier in my life.
Peter is the type of guy who would go out of his way to help someone in need. He is very selfless and doesn’t ask for anything.
I know if he could he would have the very best for me. 2012 has been a rough year for my health and we cannot afford much of a wedding.
